The internet has given us the ability to plug into a seemingly endless world of information. One facet of the information is social media. We spend so much time documenting ourselves now, I felt a responsibility as an artist to create some actual artifacts and record whats going on. I think of social media like I do cloud computing. Having this social cloud allows me to have access to information that cannot be found in the census. I like to "link" into this cloud with @zacharysearcy on Twitter, and record, or "map", the data I interface with. These supernodes are then sent back into the cloud. Think of @zacharysearcy as a visual simulator of the social media landscape; like modern day cave paintings.
